Question 1

Where can I play padel in La Libertad?

Accepted Answer

With 3 venues and 14 courts, padel facilities in La Libertad are still scarce. The best bet is to check multi-sport clubs in Trujillo, the regional capital, as they are the most likely to have courts or plan to install them. Also, keep an eye on new padel-specific centres opening in the coming years.

Question 2

What is the biggest padel hub in La Libertad?

Accepted Answer

La Libertad currently has 3 venues, so there isn't a dominant padel hub yet. Trujillo, being the largest city, is the natural focus—if any club stands out, it's likely to be there. As the sport grows, this city will probably lead the region in court count.

Question 3

How does padel in La Libertad compare with neighbouring regions?

Accepted Answer

Compared to coastal neighbours like Lambayeque and Ancash, La Libertad has a similar padel infrastructure, with 14 courts across 3 venues. Lima, however, is far ahead, with hundreds of courts. The gap means La Libertad offers more space and lower prices when courts do become available.

Question 4

Is padel growing in La Libertad?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the trend is positive. While the current 14 courts may not seem many, the number has been rising steadily over the past two years. Local sports federations are promoting the sport, and new courts are being planned in Trujillo and along the coast. The growth is slower than in Lima but steady.

Question 5

What is the cost of playing padel in La Libertad?

Accepted Answer

Prices in La Libertad are typically lower than in Lima due to lower operating costs. A typical an hour court rental is around S/ 30–S/ 40 (US$ 8–10). With 3 venues, competition is low, so prices are stable. As more courts open, prices may become even more competitive.
