Lithuania has 35 padel venues and 128 courts, making it one of the newest padel destinations in Europe. The sport first appeared in Lithuania in the late 2010s and has been growing steadily since. Padel is still small compared with other sports, but the existing players are enthusiastic and the national federation is actively working to increase participation.
Because of Lithuania’s cold Baltic climate, the majority of the 35 venues are indoor or under temporary domes. This is a practical advantage: you can play year-round, and the courts are usually well maintained. The main concentration of courts is in Vilnius and Kaunas, while other cities are gradually adding facilities. Pickleball and tennis enthusiasts often try padel as a natural crossover, which helps introduce new players to the game.
If you’re planning a holiday or moving to Lithuania, connecting with the padel community is straightforward. The federation’s website lists the available clubs and courts, and many venues offer racket hire and beginner sessions. Start with a casual game in Vilnius or Kaunas, then explore the smaller venues as you get comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly, and the sport is still small enough that you’ll quickly get to know the regulars.
