Ely Padel Club is proud to be the first dedicated padel venue in East Cambridgeshire, bringing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to the historic city of Ely. Founded with a clear mission to make padel accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable, the club provides a welcoming environment for every type of player—from families and beginners discovering the game for the first time to experienced competitors seeking challenging match play.
Located within the Ely Outdoor Sports Association, the club benefits from a central, community-oriented setting with easy access for both members and non-members. Courts are available to book through the PadelMates app, allowing players to quickly find games, join social sessions, and connect with the wider padel community. The club also offers coaching for juniors and adults, ensuring pathways for skill development, confidence building, and progression into competitive formats.
A defining feature of Ely Padel Club is its strong focus on community involvement and affordability. Equipment can be borrowed in-club, lowering barriers for new players, while flexible pricing options and open games make padel accessible to everyone. The club regularly hosts tournaments, leagues, and social events, providing opportunities not only for competition but also for meeting new people, strengthening community ties, and enjoying the social side of sport.
As one of the few dedicated padel facilities in the region, Ely Padel Club has quickly established itself as a valued part of the local sporting landscape. Its reputation is built on friendliness, inclusivity, and the sense of belonging it fosters for all who play there. Players of every age and background are welcomed, whether they are looking for casual fun, structured coaching, or competitive challenges.
Looking ahead, the club continues to expand its facilities and programmes, aiming to serve a broad audience of families, social players, improvers, and league competitors. By combining high-quality courts, a supportive environment, and a genuine passion for community sport, Ely Padel Club is not just introducing padel to East Cambridgeshire—it is creating a vibrant hub for the sport’s future in the region.
