Question 1

Where can I play padel in Vermont?

Accepted Answer

There are currently 2 padel venues in Vermont, with 2 courts available. No dedicated padel-only facilities have opened yet, so players may need to visit neighbouring states such as New York or Massachusetts for access to padel courts. Some local tennis and racquet clubs may offer casual padel setups, though they are not yet counted in our database.

Question 2

What are the biggest padel hubs in Vermont?

Accepted Answer

Because Vermont has 2 registered padel venues and 2 courts, no specific city or town has yet emerged as a padel hub. The largest population centres, including Burlington, Montpelier, and South Burlington, are the most likely areas to see future development. As demand grows, these cities are expected to lead the way in padel court construction.

Question 3

How does Vermont's padel scene compare with neighbouring regions?

Accepted Answer

Vermont lags behind its New England neighbours in padel availability. With 2 courts across 2 venues, the state currently has fewer padel options than New York, Massachusetts, or even New Hampshire, where small club installations are already active. However, Vermont's relatively close proximity to Montreal, Quebec, also offers cross-border padel opportunities for players in the northern part of the state.

Question 4

Is padel growing in Vermont?

Accepted Answer

The padel scene in Vermont is in its earliest stage, with 2 venues and 2 courts registered to date. While this is a small base, padel has gained significant traction in the United States over the past few years, and Vermont's active racquet-sport community is well positioned to embrace the game. Expect to see conversations about court construction emerge as the sport continues its national expansion.

Question 5

What should I know before travelling to Vermont to play padel?

Accepted Answer

If you plan to play padel in Vermont, you should be prepared for a lack of dedicated courts. With only 2 courts across 2 venues, you may need to book well in advance or cross state lines. For casual play, some sports complexes with indoor tennis courts may temporarily set up padel nets or allow adapted play, but this is not guaranteed. Always verify current availability before making a trip.
