The Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, is a flagship facility managed by Places Leisure and owned by Mid Sussex District Council. In July 2019, it became the first local authority leisure centre in the UK to introduce padel tennis, marking a significant step in promoting this rapidly growing sport. The padel court, strategically located adjacent to the café and viewing balcony, offers an engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels. The initiative was entirely funded by Section 106 developer contributions, emphasizing the council's commitment to enhancing local sports infrastructure.
