Play Padel Sheffield is the city’s first and only dedicated indoor padel facility, setting a new standard for the sport in South Yorkshire. Founded in 2023 and officially opened in spring 2025, the club is located within Abbeydale Tennis Club, offering players access to high-quality padel infrastructure in a vibrant, welcoming environment. The club was established by a group of local sports and business figures, including England cricket star Joe Root, professional footballer Cameron Dawson, and entrepreneurs Alex Fleming, Harry Bliss, and Chris Milard.
